Ford recalls 64,000 2025 Maverick trucks for airbag indicator light issue
Ford is recalling about 64,000 2025 Maverick compact pickup trucks because of issues with the airbag indicator light. The dashboard airbag indicator lights in these vehicles may either be loose or dislodged, so as the indicator could be unseen by vehicle occupants. dealers will install retention clips to the airbag indicator lights.

Ford issues two recalls impacting over 492,000 2016–2017 Explorer SUVs for risk of door trim detachment
Ford is recalling 492,145 Explorer sport utility vehicles from model years 2016 and 2017 with a possible safety defect in the door trim that can come loose while driving and cause road hazards. The recalled vehicles were produced from June 11, 2015 to April 19, 2017. Ford had identified the problem in 2019, however, it did not initially regard the defect as a major safety concern. But in March 2025 the NHTSA provided Ford with a slew of consumer complaints which kicked off a re-investigation and the eventual recall. The flaw has been blamed on inadequate adhesion of the trim, though Ford is unaware of any accidents or injuries linked to the issue.

The recall covers a range of models made between 2021 and 2025, including the Bronco, Edge, Escape, F-Series trucks, Expedition, Transit, Mach-E, Ranger, Mustang, Lincoln Nautilus, Navigator and Corsair. Ford plans to address the issue through dealer service or an over-the-air software update. Owners will be mailed initial safety notice beginning June 16, 2025, and a second letter when the repair update is available in the third quarter of the year.

Ford issues recall for 29,501 vehicles at risk of control arm separation
Ford is recalling 29,501 vehicles in the United States as part of an effort to correct a safety defect involving a loose control arm that could cause the loss of steering control and increased risk of crashes. The recall affects only certain 2024–2025 F-150 Lightning BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) vehicles. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued this latest alert on May 31, 2025.

Ford recalls multiple vehicles due transmission valve body issue
Ford is recalling a number of vehicles that could move forward even when their shifters are in reverse or neutral. The recall affects some 2024–2025 F-150, Bronco and 2024 Ranger, and 2025 Mustang, Explorer and Aviator vehicles, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The recall notice says the transmission valve body “may have been manufactured incorrectly,” resulting in a possible loss of reverse gear, or an unexpected vehicle move while in reverse or in neutral. Remedy Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the transmission main control valve body, free of charge. Consumers may also contact consumer service at 1-866-436-7332 and refer to recall #25S19.

Ford recalls 300,000 cars for risk of continued roll while stopped
Ford is recalling almost 300,000 heavy-duty pickup trucks. The automaker says the recall is needed because of a problem with biodiesel deposits that can cause the high-pressure fuel pump to fail. Which could cause a loss of drive power. The recall applies to some Super Duty F250, F350, F450, F550 and F600 trucks. It also includes 2021–2022 model year F650 and F750 trucks. Dealers will provide a free software update to address the issue. Recall notices will be sent by mail next week to the owners of the affected vehicles.
