Kicking off a new era of music fueled by companionship, creativity, and innovation, the chart-topping quartet has released their sixth studio album, Loom, and announced a massive arena tour that promises to be a must-see culmination of Imagine Dragons’ storied career.
A Sonic Evolution: Loom Unveiled
Loom was released on 28 June 2024, and represents a departure in the direction of the band's sound. Inspired by Weezer's Blue Album, lead vocalist Dan Reynolds explained that he wanted the album to be "short, and play all the way through, and still sound good ". The album’s lead single “Eyes Closed” leaps in with a diverse mixture of rock and hip hop inspired production which further shows the band’s dedication to pushing boundaries thanks to musical experimentation.
Virtual Reality Concert Experience
In support of the album, Imagine Dragons held an exclusive iHeartRadio LIVE show on July 8th, 2024, experienced in Meta Horizon Worlds through virtual reality. The immersive performance included 11 tracks, comprising new recordings and fan favorites such as “Believer” and “Radioactive.” At the event, Reynolds also stated the band would be biggest headlining tour of North America yet with a later global tour happening.
The Loom World Tour: A Global Musical Odyssey
Loom World Tour Loom World Tour began on July 30, 2024, at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey. It will visit five continents and is scheduled to end on September 7, 2025 at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City. With 81 shows planned, the tour is set to bring the band’s dynamic anthems to fans in every corner of the globe.
A New Chapter for Imagine Dragons
While the band craft lyrical flavor into the lyrics make up the introverted end of early hits like “It’s Time,” Loom is another realm in the building Imagine Dragons chose to inhabit. While they hit the road for a global tour, fans can expect a multi-platform offering in honor of not just the band's legacy, but their art and soul.
